Gary Player, Morgan Pressel, Nick Price Among Honorees at MGWA National Awards Dinner

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (May 29, 2015) - The Metropolitan Golf Writers Association will hold its 64th National Awards Dinner on Tuesday, June 9 at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, N.Y., to commemorate golf's greatest players, writers, and organizations in America who have shown positive efforts to spread and grow the game of golf.  Any golf fan around the area is welcomed to attend the event and enjoy one of golfs largest dinners of the year. 

Mactas Leads Field at Leewood

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. (May 28, 2015) – Leewood Golf Club in Eastchester, N.Y., hosted the first of five Sectional Qualifying Rounds for the 60th Ike Championship, the MGA’s premiere stroke play event. LPGA PlayersTake On KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Westchester

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 10, 2015) - Last year, the PGA of America and KPMG partnered with the LPGA for the first time in the Associations 99-year history to re-brand and host the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. This marked the first time ever that the PGA of America would host an LPGA event.

MGA Alums Compete in Canada

UPDATED: (June 1, 2015) - Six MGA alums competed in last week's PC Financial Open, the first of 12 events on Mackenzie Tour, formerly known as PGA TOUR Canada, and it was 2014 MGA Player of the Year David Pastore of Griff Harris who had the best finish of the week. Pastore was playing thanks to a sponsor's exemption, and was able to tie for 22nd at 6-under, despite an opening round 3-over 75 at Point Grey Golf & Country Club in Vancouver, Can.

Ike Qualifying Underway

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (May 28, 2015) - Sectional qualifying for the 60th Ike Championship, the MGA's premier stroke play event, officially begins on June 28 at Leewood Country Club. The MGA will conduct five 18-hole qualifying rounds throughout the Met Area to determine the final field for the 54-hole championship at Friar's Head in Riverhead, N.Y.., on June 29 & 30. The MGA will be be posting results, recaps, and photos throughout the qualifying window. 

Balin Wins on PGA TOUR Latinoamerica

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (May 26, 2015) - 2012 Met Open Champion Danny Balin of Greenwich, Conn., earned his first victory on the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica this weekend at the Guatemala Stella Artois Open. Balin's 54-hole score of 15-under was enough to win the rain shortened tournament at the beautiful Fuega Maya course at La Reunion Golf Resort in Antigua, Guatemala. 

Four Locals Qualify for U.S. Senior Open

PARAMUS, N.J. (May 21, 2015)  - Four players qualified today in a field of 138 at Arcola Country Club in Paramus, N.J., at the U.S. Senior Open Sectional Qualifying Round and will head to Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, CA., June 25-28, to compete in the U.S. Senior Open.
