Youth Clinics Headline 2011 Foundation Events

April 8, 2011 – With the 2011 Met Area golf season officially here, the MGA Foundation is excited to announce that three Met Area sites will host MGA/MetLife Youth Clinics in the upcoming months. MGA/MetLife Youth Clinics are conducted as part of a series of youth diversity initiatives conducted by the MGA and MetLife as part of their 30-year-old partnership. This year’s events will be held at the LPGA’s Sybase Match Play Championship at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, N.J., the USGA Golf House headquarters in Far Hills, N.J., and at the MGA/MetLife Caddie Scholarship Pro-Am at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, N.Y.

MGA/MetLife Youth Clinics introduce the fundamentals of golf and the valuable life lessons it teaches to a wide variety of kids from diverse backgrounds. Each venue provides a fun-filled environment where children and young adults are taught full swing, putting and chipping techniques, as well as the Rules, history and etiquette of the game, by local PGA professionals.
