French-American Challenge Recap

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 18, 2014) - The MGA/WMGA team put forth a valiant effort but the Ligue de Paris was able to retain "Fred's Cup" with an 11.5 - 8.5 victory in the 17th French American Challenge at Golf de Saint-Cloud in Garces, France.

Team MGA/WMGA entered the day only one point back of the team representing the Ligue de Paris and Junior Ryder Cup Team member Cameron Young and NJSGA Mid Amateur Champion Mike Stamberger continued their winning ways in the singles matches, capturing 3 points each in their matches throughout the challenge, but it was not enough to overcome the strong play from the team from Ligue de Paris.  Current MGA Ike and Met Amateur Champion David Pastore also put together an impressive effort gaining two points throughout the competition.
