Recent Assistant PGA Professional Championship winner Ben Polland is looking for more success in the Sunshine State, as he competes at Plantation Preserve in Plantation, Fla., November 8-11. The Deepdale assistant and 100th Met Open champion competed at the same site in 2015 but did not advance to the finals. Sunny Kim, the 2004 MGA/MetLife Boys champion who now resides in Florida, is also teeing it up at Plantation Preserve, as is Marc Turnesa.

Cameron Wilson of Rowayton, Conn., is competing at Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, Fla., Nov. 8-11. This is Wilson's third straight year competing at the Second Stage site. Though the 2009 MGA Player of the Year advanced to the finals in 2014, he did not do so last year.

David Pastore of Greenwich, Conn., the 2014 MGA Player of the Year, had an exemption to the Second Stage thanks to his play on the Mackenzie Tour (PGA TOUR Canada) this summer, where he earned his first professional win at the Niagara Championship. He's playing at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, Nov. 9-12 and is seeking his third straight trip to the Final Stage.

Though Mike Miller of Brewster, N.Y., and Ryan McCormick of Middletown, N.J, both earned spots in the Second Stage and were slated to compete at Plantation Preserve, both were forced to withdraw after making a run at the Second Stage of Qualifying School for the European Tour. Both were in the field at Lumine Golf & Beach Club in Tarragona, Spain, and narrowly missed advancing to the finals when the fourth round concluded on Nov. 7. Miller carded a 6-under total for the event, tying for 15th but missing out on a top-18 advancing position in a playoff. McCormick missed the playoff by one shot with a 5-under total over the four days of competition.

Sean Kelly of Staten Island, N.Y., who also played on the Mackenzie Tour this summer, competed in the Nov. 1-4 Second Stage, but did not advance.
