WMGA Announces New Class of Membership

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (May 2, 2017) - A new Independent Membership classification was overwhelmingly approved by Women's Metropolitan Golf Association Club Representatives at the Association's annual spring meeting. This membership allows women who are not members of a WMGA member club to join the Association and have access to the wide variety of competitions conducted throughout the season. The WMGA is very proud and excited about the implementation of the Independent Membership as it will enable growth and expansion in furtherance of its mission to foster women’s amateur golf.

The mission of the Women's Metropolitan Golf Association is to foster women's amateur golf and to encourage the participation of junior girls, while promoting integrity, respect for the game, and good fellowship through individual and team competition.
