Rainaud, who is in his first season as an assistant professional at Winged Foot, registered the best finish of the Met Area representatives, tying fifth at 1-under 286 for the 72-hole event. His low round of the championship came in the third round, when he tallied a bogey-free 3-under 69 on the Crosswater Course. This will be Rainaud’s second PGA Championship, having also competed in 2015 at Whistling Straits.

Beach also logged a top-10 finish, posting a 1-over 288 total to earn his first-ever spot in a major championship field. Beach shot 75 in the opening round, but played his final 54 holes in 3-under to finish tied for ninth.

Though Dobyns—a two-time champion in the event—carded a final round 78, his previous rounds of 69-71-71 still led him to tie for 16th at 2-over 289. His trip to Quail Hollow marks his third-consecutive berth into the PGA Championship, which matches Omar Uresti for the longest streak among PGA Club Professionals. Dobyns will be playing in his fourth PGA Championship.

The  PGA Professional Championship began with a starting field of 312 of the nation’s top PGA Professionals, with the top 20 advancing to Quail Hollow for the 99th PGA Championship, August 10-13.
