Met Area Locals at Q School

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 23, 2014) - A number of top Met Area players are taking their games to the next level this fall and attemting to earn status on the Web.com Tour through "Q School." The First Stage has now completed and several Met Area locals have advanced to the Second Stage in November and ultimately the Finals at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens on December 11-16.

Handley Wins MGA Mid-Amateur

WEST CALDWELL, N.J. (October 8, 2014) – The 8th MGA Mid-Amateur Championship at Mountain Ridge Country Club came down to the final few holes between Fairleigh Dickinson college roommates Niall Handley of Essex Fells and Brian Komline of Black Oak. In the end, thanks to a spectacular up-and-down on the 18th hole, Handley won his second MGA Mid-Amateur, joining Dennis Lynch as the only two-time winners in the event’s history.

(October 7, 2014) – The first round of the 8th MGA Mid-Amateur Championship is complete at Mountain Ridge Country Club and Brian Komline of Black Oak is leading after firing a round of 2-under 69. A total of 40 players advanced to the final round after shooting a score of 78 or better.
