Spectators Welcome for USGA Four-Ball at Winged Foot

The 2016 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship is set to take place at Winged Foot Golf Club, May 21-25. The event is open to the public, allowing interested spectators the opportunity to watch high quality golf at one of the world's greatest golf clubs.

Spectators are being asked to park in the East Basin Parking Lot at 1 Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck, N.Y. Complimentary parking and a shuttle to and from the Club will be available during the hours of the Championship. Entrance is also complimentary. The Club does ask that those attending dress properly and to refrain from wearing blue jeans, tee shirts, and swim wear. Food and beverage as well as merchandise will be available on-site.

Sectional qualifying for 2016 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball began in August of 2015 and will conclude in April, with the final field being composed of 128 sides. Following two rounds of stroke play (May 21-22, with one round on Winged Foot's East Course and one on the West Course), the top 32 sides will advance to match play (May 23-25) and compete on the East Course to determine a champion.

The U.S. Amateur Four-Ball is the 12th USGA Championship to be hosted by Winged Foot Golf Club. However, it will be just the third USGA event in which a champion will be crowned on the East Course, joining the 1957 U.S. Women's Open and the 1980 U.S. Senior Open.
