FAIRFIELD, Conn. (July 12, 2016) –  Christian Cavaliere of Katonah, N.Y., will lead 16 competitors into the match play portion of the 99^th Met Junior Championship sponsored by MetLife following a stellar 36-hole total of 5-under 137 at The Patterson Club on Tuesday. Cavaliere led the 62-player field containing the Met Area’s best junior players, taking medalist honors by an impressive eight strokes and being the only player in red numbers.

Middletown, N.Y., (July 12, 2016) - Qualifying for the 114^th Met Amateur Championship continued today at West Hills Country Club in Middletown, N.Y.  Seven competitors advanced from the 66 man field, with Bobby Diforio Jr. of Maple Moor earning medalist honors at 3-under 69.

Diforio's round included five birdies and two bogeys, and back-to-back birdies on holes 14 and 15 led him to have the low score of the day.
