Ryan Hom and Matthew Herr of the Nassau Players Club won the Championship Division of the 2017 George Sands Memorial Invitational Championship at North Shore CC on Tuesday, October 10th with a better ball score of 6 under par 65. They won by three shots over the team of Brad Barnett and James Mastaglio of the Cherry Valley Club; the team of Peter and Matthew Hirsh of the Woodmere Club was third, one shot further back.
In the Senior Division, the team of Casey Alexander and Marc Coleman, also of the Nassau Players Club, won with a better ball score of 4 under par 67...they won by two shots over both the team of David Prowler and Chris Van Tuyl of Bethpage State Park and the team of Jay Sessa and Don Enga, also of the Cherry Valley Club; the Sessa-Enga team won a match of cards for the second place trophy.
