Bonomo, Egan take home Junior and Boys Titles
Easton, Connecticut (June 10, 2024) A field of 62 boys and juniors competed for two trophies in the playing of the 79th Westchester Junior Championship and 55th Westchester Boys Championship, Monday, at The Connecticut Club. Thomas Bonomo of the Stanwich Club claimed the Junior title after shooting a 3-under 69 to win by one, while Quinn Egan of Westchester Country Club won the 55th Boys Championship after shooting a 2-over 74.

Thomas Bonomo who teed off in one of the first groups of the day, set the mark early. He had a good start to his round making birdie on the second. He would give a shot back on the seventh but follow up with a birdie to finish the front at 1-under. The back nine would be similar but better as he would birdie both 12 and 13. After a double on the short par-4 15th he would close out with two birdies and a par. The 3-under 69 would hold throughout the day as a no golfers would match. Nicholas Smith Jr. of Apawamis Club, Andrew Hahn of Powelton Club, Liam Moloney of The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge and North Chery of MGA eClub Connecticut would all finish at 2-under.
Quinn Egan claimed the 55th Boys Championship with his score of 2-over 74. Egan would finish eight shots ahead of a trio of golfers who all tied for second. Egan opened with a even par 36 after carding a birdie and a bogey. The back nine proved more challenging as he would add four bogeys with two birdies.
