The Country Club of Darien is looking for an outgoing experienced professional to fill the vacant Assistant Caddie Manager position. We are a highly active club that has a very popular caddie program.
About The Country Club of Darien
- Private club with an active membership consisting of over 350 golf families
- About 150 social/tennis members
- Located in Fairfield County, CT in the PGA Metropolitan section, 37 miles north of New York City.
- Very active club for golf, tennis, paddle, swimming, and Monday outings.
- Average between 19,000 and 21,000 golf rounds annually
Job Responsibilities
- The position is from April 1st to October 31st (Possibly an early start depending on weather)
- Providing members and guests service before and after their golf rounds.
- Assign caddie loops for the afternoon.
- Provide payment for caddies
- Supervise staging bags, carts, and push carts for member play
- Answer the 1st tee phone to help answer questions and make tee times for the members
- Help supervise the driving range, cart barn, club cleaning station, bag room, and a staff of 10 workers
- Send the point of sales charges for the final tee sheet at the end of the night
- Go above and beyond member expectations to provide the best possible service at all times
Job requirements
- Nights and weekends are required
- Minimum of 2 years of golf/outside operations experience
- Outgoing and positive personality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Monitor pace of play on the course
- Great communication skill with the Caddie Master, Golf professional team, and the members
- Ability to use computer programs for billing, Tee time booking, and analysis
- Be a team player with both the golf professional staff and the outside operations staff
Details of Compensation
- Hourly position with pay rate based on experience
- Average of 10 hours of overtime a week
