LIGA Schedule Update

(April 24, 2020) – Due to the evolving situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Long Island Golf Association has altered its schedule for all events through May 31. The LIGA remains committed to providing its memberships with as many safely conducted events as possible during the 2020 season.

The latest schedule adjustment will impact events differently, with specific details included below. The LIGA will update the information below if further changes are necessary. For all general updates, please continue to visit mgagolf.org.

The Richardson Memorial Championship Sponsored by Keystone Electronics Corp. at Wheatley Hills Golf Club has been canceled for 2020 and will return to Wheatley Hills in 2021.

The President’s Invitational at Southward Ho Country Club has been canceled.

The Long Island Open Championship and qualifying rounds have been postponed to later in the season. More information on the Long Island Open will be shared when available, with the goal of moving the qualifiers and championship to a time that will work best for all parties involved. At this time, all entries to the championship will be frozen until a conclusion is announced.
