Michael Hebron Amateur Championship Postponed

(June 8, 2020) -- The LIGA today announced the postponement of the Michael Hebron Amateur Championship at Bethpage State Park, originally scheduled for June 15-16.

Though Long Island has progressed to Phase Two in New York State's reopening plan, Bethpage State Park has not been permitted to host outside events at this time. We plan to conduct the championship later in the season, aiming for a hopeful reschedule during the month of September.

Registrations have been frozen until additional date information comes available for the Championship.

The evolving COVID-19 pandemic first led the Long Island Golf Association to alter its schedule for all events through May 31, affecting the Richardson Memorial Championship Sponsored by Keystone Electronics Corp. (canceled) and the Long Island Open Championship (postponed).
