Ferrone, Segot win George Sands Memorial

GLEN HEAD, N.Y. (October 21, 2019) -- Joe Ferrone and Dave Segot of the Nassau Players Club shot a better-ball 3-under-par 68 to win the 2019 George Sands Memorial Invitational Championship at North Shore Country Club, beating their fellow club members Michael Auerbach and Jonathan Jeter by a shot. Ferrone's eagle three on the 4th hole was the highlight of their round.

In the Senior Division, Edward Gibstein and Marty Winkelman of Glen Head Country Club won a sudden death playoff on the first extra hole (the 10th) with Gibstein's birdie two, over Jon Doppelt and David Mattana of Fresh Meadow Country Club. Both teams shot even par 71 in regulation.
