Inak Leads Women's Amateur Following Round One

Farmingdale, N.Y. (July 9, 2018) - Playing in the final group of the day, Nabila Inak of Met PGA Junior Golf Club shot a three under par 72 on the Red Course at Bethpage State Park on Monday, July 9th to take a two shot lead in the Championship Flight after Round One of the 2018 Long Island Women's Amateur Stroke Play Championship.

Meghan O'Mara of West Sayville GC is two shots behind, and Danielle Bambola of MGA eClub-Long Island and Brittany Ferrante of The First Tee @ Eisenhower Park are tied, one shot further back at even par 75.

Bethpage's Red Course was set up today at 6,049 yards.

In the First Flight, Sun Ok Lee of Fairway Women of Bethpage shot 82 to take a three shot lead; in the Second Flight, Betty Wagner of Eisenhower Park shot 84 to take a one shot lead.

The second and final round of this three flight, gross and net competition tournament will be played on Tuesday, July 10. Spectators are welcome.
