Scialabba, who began the day 1-over, shot a 3-over 75 on the final day and came from behind to defeat Dennis Lynch of Nassau Players Club by one stroke. Scialabba recorded a total score of 148 (+4) over two days, narrowly edging out Lynch who recorded a total score of 149 (+5).

Starting his round in the penultimate group and three strokes behind, Scialabba knew he had some ground to make up on the leader Lynch. After making bogey on the par-5 third, Scialabba responded with a birdie on the par-4 fourth. He played steady on his front nine, making par on the other seven holes and putting himself in good position to catch Lynch on the back nine.

Lynch, who began the day one-under for the event, shot 3-over 39 with bogeys on Nos. six, seven and nine to open his round. With just nine holes to play, it quickly became a two-man race, with both Lynch and Scialabba tied atop the leaderboard at 1-over par.

After making par on Nos. 10 and 11, Scialabba found himself alone in the lead as Lynch made a bogey on the par-5 10th hole. Scialabba made his first mistake of the inward nine with a bogey on the par-4 12th, which put him back in a tie for first with Lynch at +2 for the event.

Coming down the stretch, it was all about who would make less mistakes. Over the final six holes of the tournament, Scialabba made just two bogeys, and made a solid par on the par-4 18th hole to get in the clubhouse at +3 (75) for the day and +4 for the event.

Lynch made three more bogeys down the stretch, including a tough bogey on the par-3 17th that put him one shot back of Scialabba with just one hole to play. Needing a birdie to force a playoff, Lynch drove his ball into a fairway bunker and his approach shot left him short of the green. He managed to get up and down from there, but par on the 18th was not enough as he finished +7 on the day and +5 for the tournament.

John Glavinic of North Shore Country Club finished third carding a final round 74 (+2) and finishing the event with a total score of 150 (+6).
