Winged Foot Hosts Successful MGA/MetLife Youth Clinic
Mamaroneck, N.Y. (August 25, 2015)– Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., site of this year's 100th Met Open, hosted a group of approximately 45 enthusiastic junior golfers from The First Tee of Metropolitan New York on Monday, August 24, for the final installment of this year’s MGA/MetLife Youth Clinics. The clinic was held in conjunction with the Caddie Scholarship Pro-Am at the 100th Met Open Championship.
Ben Polland Wins 100th Met Open
MAMARONECK, N.Y. (August 27, 2015) – The historic 100th Met Open did not disappoint, as Deepdale assistant professional Ben Polland claimed the Walker L. Trammell trophy in a playoff on Winged Foot’s East Course, defeating 2011 champion Tyler Hall of Montclair in a three-hole aggregate playoff after both finished the 54-hole championship at even-par 210.

(August 26, 2015) – Scoring proved to be a challenge during Wednesday morning’s second round of the 100th Met Open, as no competitor recorded a sub-par score on Winged Foot’s East Course. Ben Polland of Deepdale and amateur Cameron Young of Sleepy Hollow posted the morning’s best scores at even-par 70.
Amateurs, Past Champions Stand Atop 100th Met Open Leaderboard
MAMARONECK, N.Y. (August 25, 2015) – Multiple past champions recorded sub-par scores in the first round of the 100th Met Open at Winged Foot’s East Course, but a pair of amateurs stand atop the leaderboard at day’s end. Ryan Snouffer of Essex County owns the lead following a 5-under 65, while 17-year old Dawson Jones, an MGA eClub – New Jersey member, recorded a 3-under 67.
Snouffer Leads 100th Met Open with Opening 65
MAMARONECK, N.Y. (August 25, 2015) – Several players, including a pair of past champions, have carded under-par rounds as the 100th Met Open has begun on the East Course at Winged Foot, but amateur Ryan Snouffer of Essex County owns the early lead following his 5-under 65. In all, four competitors carded sub-par rounds in the morning wave, while three more posted even-par 70.
