Westchester Seniors Win Triangular Team Match for Second Year in a Row

With unseasonably warm temperatures, the light blue wind breakers worn by the Westchester Seniors did not stay on for long in this 53rd renewal of the Triangular Team Matches.  This year, the Tournament was hosted by the Westchester Seniors and for which we are very grateful to Trump National Briarcliff for making its course and facilities available to us. 

Second Stage of Tour Q-School Concludes

Jimmy Roberts to receive 2016 MGA Distinguished Service Award

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (November 11, 2016) – The Metropolitan Golf Association is pleased to announce that longtime broadcaster and writer Jimmy Roberts will receive the 2016 MGA Distinguished Service Award. The Westchester native has long been an ambassador for the game of golf, using his talents to support golf in the Met Area and serving the game around the world through his thoughtful commentary.

At 96, Maiello has impressive two weeks

Lou Maiello, a 96-year-old golfer from Staten Island, had a string of two weeks that will leave most golfers envious. First, Maiello captured the Staten Island Senior League club championship in thrilling fashion after his final's match went to 21-holes. The following week he celebrated in style by sinking his first career hole-in-one on Silver Lake Golf Course's sixth hole.
