Connecticut Men's and New York Women's Teams Finish Strong in the 5th USGA State Team Championship

ELMSFORD, N.Y.-Jerry Courville Jr. of Milford, CT fired a three round total of one-under par 209 (70 – 71 – 68), to finish t-4th and lead his Connecticut team to a 6th place finish in the 5th USGA Men’s State Team Championship at Charles River Country Club in Newton Centre, Mass.  Courville was joined by teammates Jeff Hedden of Quaker Hill and Justin Goodhue of Glastonbury.  The best two rounds out of the three were counted for each of the three days giving the Connecticut team a total of four-over par 424 (136 – 141 – 144).  Courville’s score was counted in each of the three rounds.

 

Megan Grehan of Mamaroneck fired a three round total of eight-over par 227 (75 – 77 – 75), to finish t-10th and lead her New York team to a 7th place finish in the 5th USGA Women’s State Team Championship at Wellesley Country Club in Wellesley, Mass.  Grehan was joined by Lee Ann Lewis of Great River and Gail Flanagan of Rye.  The three women teamed up for a three round total of 17-over par 455 (151 – 155 – 149).  Grehan’s score was counted in each of the three rounds, as well.
