MGA At First Annual Journal News “Golf Show”

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 1, 2005) - The Metropolitan Golf Association will be one of over four dozen exhibitors at the first annual Journal News Golf Show, being held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY, on March 19-20.  This is a consumer golf show and will feature representatives from golf top manufacturers, professionals, resorts, courses, fitness and travel.  The MGA will be well represented and will provide information about the upcoming golf season and many services and programs the MGA and its Foundation provide to area clubs and golfers.  In addition, MGA Tournament Director Gene Westmoreland, a nationally recognized authority on The Rules of Golf, and Tom Dunnam, the MGA’s Director of Handicap & Member Services, will conduct two Rules and Handicap seminars during the show.  The event, sponsored by The Journal News and Westchester County Parks, will provide the public with an exclusive look into the world of Met Area golf, and allow visitors to enjoy the ultimate golf experience.  In addition there will be hourly prize drawings, a golf simulator, a $10,000 hole-in-one contest, physical fitness demonstrations and a putting green, provided by Home Green Advantage.  The hours are Saturday, March 19 10am-7pm and Sunday March 20 10am-5pm.
