Welcome to the New MGA Website - Fresh Look, More Features

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 16, 2011)–The MGA places the utmost importance on communicating effectively with Met Area clubs and golfers, and the association is pleased to unveil a newly designed website that significantly upgrades its digital presence. The result of more than a year of planning, the redesigned mgagolf.org marks an exciting new chapter in the MGA’s digital communications.

While the MGA was a trailblazer among regional golf associations when it launched its website in 1998, it was time for a technical and platform upgrade as well as a more user-friendly interface. The new website incorporates the MGA’s sleeker logo, which was unveiled in April to wide acclaim, and includes a cleaner, better organized homepage with simple navigation that allows users to find the content they want quickly and efficiently. Some additional highlights of the new mgagolf.org include:

  • Multi-image slider automatically cycles through main stories and photos
  • Modular-based design allows for better presentation of content
  • New sign-in for MGA tournament players and volunteers; future integration with CRM database
  • Expanded search capability for quick and easy viewing of archived news stories
  • Re-organized photo galleries and videos
  • Enhanced social media experience, with updated Twitter feed

The MGA’s goal is to continually find ways to improve the user experience on mgagolf.org and deliver members and area golfers everything they need to manage their golf lives. You’ll find all the latest news, tournament information, handicapping resources, and updates from the MGA Foundation here on the MGA’s new digital home. Be sure to check in starting late Friday and throughout U.S. Open weekend and get familiar with the new mgagolf.org!
