Dan Balin Makes it Through PGA Tour Latinoamerica Q-School

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 27, 2014) - Top Met Area professional Dan Balin of Burning Tree earned full-time status on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica for the 2014 season by finishing 9th at their Q-school this past week. The top 20 finishers earned full-time status. 

Last year, Balin, who claimed the 2012 Met Open at Plainfield Country Club, played in several Latinoamerica events, with his best coming at the Dominican Republic Open (T13).

The pro from Rockville, Md., has also qualified for the last four PGA Championships by way of finishing in the top 20 at the PGA National Championship.

Additionally, Balin has won the past two New York State Opens at Bethpage Black and past two Met PGA Championships. 

2013 Met Amateur champion Pat Wilson of Panther Valley finished T32 and has earned conditional status.
