ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 24, 2014) - The first two rounds of the 47th PGA Professional National Championship are complete and some of the Met Area local pros are in the hunt. It was just two years ago when Matt Dobyns of Fresh Meadow shattered records and ran away from the field winning the 45th edition of the tournament by eight strokes. Dobyns is coming off his first appearance in the U.S. Open at Pinehurst, where he missed the cut by only one shot. He will look to win his second PGA Professional Championship in three years, but he will have to make up some ground after a pair of 73s, which puts him at 2-over - six shots back of the leader who is at 4-under.
