Annie Park a Member of 2014 Curtis Cup Team

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 5, 2014) - The 2014 Curtis Cup begins Friday, June 6 and Annie Park of Levittown, N.Y. will be representing both the Met Area and the United States at St. Louis Country Club. The 19-year-old was a member of the MGA's French-American Challenge in 2012, and she had a record-setting 2013 season when she became the seventh freshman in history to claim the NCAA Individual Title, and only the second woman in NCAA history to win the conference, regional, and national titles. She then went on to reach the quarterfinals of the 2013 Women's Amateur and has played in two U.S. Opens. Park just completed her sophomore year at USC and in April played in the LPGA's Kraft Nabisco Championship on a sponsor's exemption. She is currently 11th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

Park is one of eight playing for the USA on the Curtis Cup Team, a biennial international women's amateur competition between the United States and Great Britain and Ireland. Ellen Port, a six-time USGA champion and two-time USA Curtis Cup Team member, is the captain of the USA Team for the 38th edition of the match.

The competion begins with three foursomes and three four-ball matches on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7, followed by eight single matches on Sunday. The USA will look to win the Curtis Cup after their loss to Great Britain and Ireland in 2012.
