Frank Esposito Begins Champions Tour Career This Week

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 26, 2015) - After a spectacular last few seasons, most notably this past year's, Frank Esposito's outstanding play has all been leading up to the Allianz Championship. Esposito begins a new career on the Champions Tour after earning a full exemption just a few months ago thanks to an incredible nine day stretch of golf. It began at the Senior PGA Professional National Championship in Port St. Lucie, Fla., where Esposito blitzed the field and claimed a four stroke victory. The 51-year-old had only just begun. Just days later he found himself in Winter Garden, Fla., for the Champions Tour National Qualifying Tournament. He won that too. Esposito finished 11-under for his second straight four stroke victory in less than 10 days, which, with the Senior PNC win, earned him $50,000 in under two weeks.

It was an absolutely remarkable season, which is saying a lot given his recent history of phenomenal play. In 2013 he claimed his second New Jersey State Open Championship and he followed it up in 2014 with three more victories, not including the two big ones at the end of the season. Now, the focus shifts to a full time career on the Champions Tour, and Esposito couldn't be more excited. This week he will tee it up in the second Champions Tour event of the year in Boca Raton, Fla. at The Old Course at Broken Sound Club for the Allianz Championship. Coverage will be on the Golf Channel throughout the weekend.
