Met Open qualifying begins with Pastore medaling at Hollow Brook

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y., (July 28, 2016) - The first qualifying round for the 101st Met Open Championship took place at Hollow Brook Golf Club. Thirteen competitors advanced from the original field of 103, with amateur Paul Pastore of MGA eClub - Westchester/Fairfield earning medalist honors at 6-under 65.

Course conditions were ideal for scoring, as players who drove the ball accurately were rewarded with low scores all day. Pastore's round included six birdies and an eagle on the par-5 15th, and he was able to secure medalist honors despite recording two bogeys.
