Roger Tarika and Jon O'Herron, Jr. Claim the 25th MGA Senior Net Four-Ball Title

Redding, C.T. (May 23, 2017) – 100 teams gathered at Redding Country Club in Redding, C.T. with the hopes of being crowned champions at the 25th MGA Senior Net Four-Ball Tournament.

Roger Tarika of Country Club of Fairfield and Jon O’Herron, Jr. of Woodway set the pace early on in the day and maintained the lead to earn the title with an impressive net score of 9-under 62.

Jeffrey Totton and Ed Kania of Otterkill also carded a round of 9-under 62 and were awarded second place due to the tiebreaker going to the team with a greater total age.

Rounding out the top three finishers with a round of 8-under 63, were Louis Vietri and David Gale of Darlington.

Jim Tierney and Arthur Haddad of Richter Park were the winners in the low gross category with their score of 1-over 72.

The MGA Senior Net Four-Ball Tournament is open to male amateur golfers, age 50 and over, who maintain a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 18.0. 

Redding Country Club played to a par 71 at 6,044 yards.
