GOLFZON LPGA Match Play Challenge at Bethpage a Success

Top LPGA talent took on the famed Bethpage Black course virtually for the GOLFZON LPGA Match Play Challenge, an intercontential competition, on Monday, May 25.  Inbee Park and So Yeon Ryu, competed in Korea and faced off against Lydia Ko and Pernilla Lindberg, who played from the World Golf Hall of Fame headquarters in Florida. The event was 36 holes: an 18 hole foursomes match followed by an 18 hole four-ball match. Ko and Lindberg won the foursomes competition 1 up after Ko made a birdie putt on the 18th hole. Ryu and Park went on to win the four-ball match, 5 and 4. Each team won $5,000 to the COVID-19 charity of their choice.

With this simulator technology powered by GOLFZON, an official partner of the MGA, the two teams competed against each other in real time, despite the 13 hour time difference. There is no shortage of talent between the group that includes two former World Number 1 ranked players as a combined 12 major titles.
