“We started to share news of our campaign in the fall, and we’re excited to spread the message throughout the Met Area as we approach a new golf season,” says Andy Stock, past president and chair of the MGA125 campaign. “Our charitable initiatives impact the lives of hundreds of young people each year, and with the support of our community, we are committed to strengthening and growing these important programs."

For more than 30 years, the MGA, through the MGA Foundation, has delivered on the mission of providing life-changing opportunities through the game of golf. Its youth initiatives include the GOLFWORKS student internship program, which provides meaningful summer employment to high-school students at member clubs; junior championships; and educational programs.

“We’ve set a very ambitious goal of raising $10 million over 10 years through this campaign, which will allow us to expand opportunities for all in our community,” says Brian Mahoney, MGA executive director. “We have high expectations but know that with these funds we can both sustain current initiatives and develop new programs that can enhance the lives of many through this wonderful game.”

As support for the campaign continues to develop, the MGA plans to provide updates on program development and initiatives.
