MGA Mourns the Passing of Larry Rafferty

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 16, 2019) -- The Metropolitan Golf Association regrets to announce the passing of Lawrence C. “Larry” Rafferty on October 13th at the age of 77. Larry was a former member of the MGA Executive Committee and MGA Foundation Board of Directors. A fine player, Larry was a former president of Garden City Golf Club and an active member at several clubs on Long Island where he won multiple club championships. He was 1964 graduate of Fairfield University where he was a decorated athlete and later served on Board of Trustees. He was the founder and CEO of Rafferty Holdings a highly successful investment firm. As a gentleman golfer, successful business man and through his spirit of generosity, Larry touched countless lives from caddies to CEOs and he will be missed.
