Championship Registration Opens March 1

Pound Ridge Golf Club, host of the 73rd MGA Public Links Championship

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 25, 2020) – After opening registration to the 93rd MGA Senior Amateur and 28th MGA Senior Net Four-Ball on February 14, the complete 2020 Metropolitan Golf Association championship schedule opens for registration on Sunday, March 1. Championship registration for Long Island Golf Association (LIGA) and Westchester Golf Association (WGA) events also opens on March 1.

Country Club of Darien in Darien, Conn., Bethpage State Park's famed Black Course in Farmingdale, N.Y., and Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, N.J., will welcome the MGA's 2020 majors, the Ike MGA Stroke Play, Met Amateur and Met Open Championship Presented by Callaway, respectively.

Darien is welcoming its first-ever MGA championship, while Bethpage Black will become the first public course to host the Met Amateur in its 118-year history and Mountain Ridge will serve as home to the Met Open for the fourth time.

Meanwhile, the schedule's highlights continue with visits to Pound Ridge Golf Club in Pound Ridge, N.Y., for the nation's oldest public links championship; Rockaway River Country Club in Denville, N.J., for the 103rd Met Junior Championship Sponsored by MetLife; the Father & Son Championship at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield, N.J.; and Essex County Country Club in West Orange, N.J., for the 24th MGA Senior Open Championship.

Registration for MGA, LIGA, and WGA championships is completed through USGA Tournament Management powered by Golf Genius. Players must register on the platform and create a profile in order to sign up for events. The platform provides each championship with its own portal featuring championship information, mobile-friendly leaderboards, live scoring, and more.
