Just one shot back was Edgar Lee of Windwatch and Gio Kim of Paramount, whose scorecard included an eagle on the par-five ninth. While Lee and Kim played well, they could not top the strong momentum of Sim and Lee.

There was also a Championship flight for the Long Island Mixed Pinehurst, with Matthew Catton and Malini Rudra of Muttontown Club taking first place with a gross score of 3-over 74.

Carly Peters of Round Hill and Dylan Newman of Brae Burn won the Professional Division, shooting 2-over 73.

While conditions were hot, Knollwood Country Club's grounds crew kept the course in perfect shape for the tournament, which finished just before stormy weather struck the area.
