Qualifying: 100th Met Junior sponsored by MetLife

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 20, 2017) -- Qualifying rounds have begun for the 100th Met Junior Championship sponsored by MetLife, which will take place at Plainfield Country Club in Edison, N.J., July 19-21. The Met Junior, the nation's oldest junior championship, was established in 1912 with its first three playings contested at Plainfield.

Over the years the event has produced a number of winners who have gone on to outstanding achievements on both the regional and national levels. Past winners of the Mandeville Trophy include Butch and Bill Harmon, Marc Turnesa, Andrew Svoboda, Mike Miller, David Pastore, and Cameron Young.
