Snouffer Leads 100th Met Open with Opening 65

MAMARONECK, N.Y. (August 25, 2015) – Several players, including a pair of past champions, have carded under-par rounds as the 100th Met Open has begun on the East Course at Winged Foot, but amateur Ryan Snouffer of Essex County owns the early lead following his 5-under 65. In all, four competitors carded sub-par rounds in the morning wave, while three more posted even-par 70.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (August 11, 2015) – This week the 47th MGA/MetLife Boys Championship heads back to Gardiner’s Bay Country Club on Shelter Island, N.Y. The championship features 16 young and talented players looking to add their name to the prestigious list of past Boys champions. The MGA/MetLife Boys Championship is open to boys not yet 16 years old, and qualifying took place throughout July to determine the top 16 players who will compete in match play at the two-day event.

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (July 30, 2015) – Despite a pair of weather delays during Thursday’s on-site qualifying for the 113th Met Amateur, the 67-man field was able to complete 36 holes of stroke play on Baltusrol’s Upper Course just as dusk settled. However, the 16 positions for match play are not yet final, as an 8-for-3 playoff will be contested on Friday morning, teeing off at 7:30 a.m. The playoff will take place on hole Nos. 1 and 18. Match play will begin immediately after the final three spots are claimed.

The White Plains, N.Y., native’s 143 total earned him a one-stroke victory over Connor Daly of Bronxville, N.Y.
