ELMSFORD, NY (September 12, 2023) - The bond that siblings share is unique. Working with your siblings enhances that bond with the shared experiences of sharing a workplace. At Mountain Ridge Country Club, brothers Jensen and Jeyden Vizcaino have shared those experiences through the GOLFWORKS program over the years.
Centennial has been part of the GOLFWORKS program since 2011 and has helped interns gain valuable work and life expereicnes.
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (November 15, 2022) – Kateryna Poltoratska, or Kate, first came to the United States when she was in high school. As part of her school curriculum, she studied for a year in the U.S., while living with a host family. Currently Kate is studying at Berea College, a small Liberal Arts college in Berea, Ky., that offers full tuition scholarships to all its students. Poltoratska recently finished a summer internship in the GOLFWORKS program at Hollywood Golf Club.
WEST ORANGE, NJ (June 24, 2022) -- When you ask most people how they were introduced to the sport of golf, they may mention going to the driving range as a kid, hitting balls in their backyard, or watching Tiger Woods on TV. Another way that many have been introduced is through caddieing. For Ryan Mack, the Director of Outside Operations at Essex County Country Club in West Orange, N.J., that’s exactly how it happened.
The online auction will run through June 10th at 5 p.m. All proceeds will benefit MGA Foundation programming.
The summer internship program will be modeled after the Foundation's cornerstone initiative, GOLFWORKS.
SANDS POINT, N.Y. (March 11, 2022) -- This past summer, the MGA Foundation's cornerstone program, GOLFWORKS, returned to Met Area clubs. In total, 147 GOLFWORKS interns worked at 39 clubs during the summer months, gaining valuable work, golf, and life experiences. In addition to the 147 interns participating in MGA programming, 18 former interns were hired directly by clubs, showcasing the relationships forged between intern and club during the GOLFWORKS program.
