ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 7, 2014) – The MGA and MGA Foundation are set to host the annual Presidents Council Fall Conference on Tuesday, October 14 at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, N.Y.

The Presidents Council, which is part of the MGA Foundation's series of educational programs, is a seminar meant to give club leaders valuable information about industry trends and issues affecting golf clubs. Each year, a panel of distinguished experts are invited to attend and present their ideas to the full group.

2014 French-American Challenge: Team MGA and WMGA  

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 3, 2014) – Ten players representing the MGA and WMGA will travel to Paris for the 17th French-American  Challenge, a biennial competition between the MGA/WMGA and the Ligue de Paris. This year’s matches will be played at the beautiful Golf de Saint Cloud, one of France’s premier courses, on October 17 & 18.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 3, 2014) - A field of 86 players is ready for the 8th MGA Mid-Amateur Championship at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, N.J., on October 7 and 8. The 36-hole stroke play event brings together the Met Area’s best amateurs over the age of 35 who are invited to compete based on top finishes in MGA and Met Area events.

FLORAL PARK, N.Y.  (October 2, 2014) – It was an exciting finish at the 30^th MGA/MetLife Women’s Four-Ball Championship at Towers Country Club as three teams found themselves in a playoff to determine the champions. After sinking a 32-foot putt on the first playoff hole, Susan Canarick and Janet Mazza of the Glen Cove Women’s 18 Holers claimed first place. Canarick and Mazza had a dramatic finish on their final hole of regular play and chipped in for a net 63 to send them to the playoff.
