Buckley, Miller, and Ballo Qualify for PGA TOUR Canada
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (April 21, 2015) - A few Met Area locals took their talents to Florida for the PGA TOUR Canada Q-School-Florida tournament last week and were able to earn status thanks to some stellar play. The four day, 72 hole event took place at Panther Lake GC in Winter Garden, Fla., and leading the way was Max Buckley of Westchester for the locals. He opened the tournament with a 1-over 73, a score that could have put him well out of contention on this particular leaderboard.
MGA Spring Educational Series Roundup
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (April 14, 2015) - After a long grueling winter it was finally time to start talking about golf, even if there was still some snow on the ground. The MGA did just that with its latest Spring Educational Series, a month-long program of educational forums that cover a wide range of topics of interest to Met Area golfers.
Strong Showing From First Tee of Met NY Participants at Augusta
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (April 6, 2015) - As if qualifying for the Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship at Augusta wasn't cool enough for two First Tee of Metropolitan New York participants, why not make some noise with a strong showing on Easter Sunday. That is exactly what Jennifer Rosenberg of Laurel Hollow, N.Y. (Eisenhower Park participant) and Megha Ganne of Jersey City, N.J. (Essex County participant) did yesterday.
Hoffmann Finishes T-28th
UPDATED (April 13, 2015) - It was an incredible week for Morgan Hoffmann at his first Masters, and he finished it in style Sunday at Augusta. After opening the tournament on Thursday with a 1-over 73, Hoffmann would not go over par again the rest of the week. On Friday he would fire an even par 72 and make the cut, something not many first time participants do at The Masters. This year 20 players were competing in their first Masters, and Hoffmann was one of only eight to make it to the weekend.

Heins Claims Second Met Open Played at Baltusrol
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 31, 2015) - Both the Metropolitan Golf Association and Winged Foot Golf Club have storied histories that will meet again this summer for an MGA record seventh time when the 100th playing of the Met Open will take place on the club's East Course. We continue to celebrate the milestone with our series of Met Open Moments, with this week's great photo coming from the 1988 Met Open, when it was played at Baltusrol for the second and most recent time in the championship's history.
