Gene Bernstein Elected President of the MGA

HARRISON, N.Y. (December 2, 2010) – Gene M. Bernstein of Sebonack Golf Club was elected to a one-year term as president of the Metropolitan Golf Association at the Association’s 113th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, December 1 at Westchester Country Club in Harrison, N.Y. Bernstein is the MGA’s 59th president and will head a 22-member Executive Committee and serve as chairman of the Association’s charitable Foundation.

December 28, 2009Donald J. Trump recently added Branton Woods Golf Club in Hopewell Junction, N.Y., and Pine Hill Golf Club in Pine Hill, N.J., to his stable of golf courses in the Met Area. The Trump Organization’s Met Area courses currently include Trump National-Westchester in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., Trump National-Colts Neck in Colts Neck, N.J., and Trump National-Bedminster in Bedminster, N.J., the site of the 2009 U.S. Junior Amateur and Girls’ Junior championships.

December 3, 2009 – USGA Executive Director David B. Fay and Cameron Wilson of Shorehaven Golf Club were honored at the Metropolitan Golf Association Annual Meeting and Dinner on December 2 at Westchester Country Club in Harrison, N.Y. Fay received the 2009 MGA Distinguished Service Award, the Association’s highest honor, and Wilson received the 2009 MGA Jerry Courville Sr. Player of the Year Award.
