2012 Champ Eric LeFante and Xander McDonald-Smith hold the lead at the Public Links

MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (July 10, 2014) – The first round of the 67th MGA Public Links Championship at Charleston Springs Golf Course (South) has ended and the two leaders hold a one shot lead. Eric LeFante of Neshanic Valley and Xander McDonald-Smith of Marine Park each fired 1-under 71s in the first round to grab the lead, but a host of players at even par 72 stand close behind. LeFante, the 2012 MGA Public Links Champion, hopes to capture his second MGA championship and feels good heading into his afternoon round.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 7, 2014)– The field for the 67th MGA Public Links Championship is set and Charleston Springs Golf Course in Millstone Township, N.J., will play host to the 36-hole stroke play event.  A field of 61 determined golfers will take on the South Course on July 10th and the competition promises to be spectacular. Kestner, the Director of Golf at Deepdale, will join names like Fred Couples, Kenny Perry, and Bernhard Langer as they all attempt to capture the 35th U.S. Senior Open.
