(June 17, 2008) – An outstanding field has been finalized for the 53rd Ike Championship presented by Canon USA, which will be held next Monday and Tuesday, June 23 and 24, at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, New Jersey. This is the first time that the Ike, the MGA Stroke Play Championship, will be held at Mountain Ridge.

JACKSON, N.J. (June 16, 2008) – The 58th MGA Father & Son Championship will be held on Tuesday, June 17, at the outstanding Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson, New Jersey. This event, begun by the MGA in 1951, is one of the oldest father/son competitions in golf, and is annually one of the most popular events on the MGA calendar. This year, the event was filled to capacity in a matter of days, as father/son teams from across the Met Area look to compete at one of the most highly regarded private clubs in the Northeast.

Met Golf Writers Announce 2008 Awardees

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 11, 2008) - Charlie Sifford, the first African-American to play the PGA Tour and the first black golfer to be enshrined at the World Golf Hall of Fame, will be recognized for his pioneering career achievements by the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association at their 57th National Awards Dinner on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, New York. Sifford will receive the Gold Tee Award, the MGWA’s highest honor.
