Tyler Hall of Scottsdale, Ariz., the 2011 Met Open champion, finished T27 at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. The top 18 players, plus ties, qualified to play in the Second Stage.

(October 16, 2012)– In conditions generally associated with European links golf, the Ligue de Golf de Paris went out impressively on day one of the 16th French-American Challenge and took a 6.5 to 3.5 lead at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y. The French head into Wednesday’s 10 singles matches needing 3.5 points to retain the trophy.
