MGA Youth on Course
The MGA’s charitable Foundation has partnered with nationally recognized Youth on Course to launch its affordable golf access initiative in the Met Area. Golf teaches important social, mental and physical skills and a Youth on Course membership enables 6-18 year olds to play golf for $5 per round or less at participating courses. There is a one-time membership fee each year for juniors to join the program.
Youth on Course was started in 2006 by the Northern California Golf Association as a program to deliver affordable youth golf at participating courses. Currently more than 750 courses in 25 states are available for play at $5 or less.
This is a new opportunity for Met Area juniors. The MGA Foundation is reaching out each week to build the list of participating courses. For juniors the $20 annual fee gives members access to participating facilities throughout the Met Area and across the country. Membership also includes an MGA membership, a USGA/GHIN handicap (if not already issued), a subscription to the Met Golfer and many more MGA member benefits.
