MGA/METLIFE YOUTH CLINICS

The MGA and MetLife partnered in 2002 to create a series of diversity youth initiatives designed to bring the game of golf to young people from all walks of life, particularly in areas where students are not normally exposed to the game. These initiatives include a series of three junior clinics each year and are conducted at a variety of sites throughout the Met Area, The events introduce the fundamentals of golf and the life lessons it teaches to minority and underprivileged youth who do not have regular exposure to the game. In a fun-filled environment, students are taught proper swing, putting and chipping fundamentals, along with the history, Rules and etiquette of the game. Snoopy, MetLife's affable Mascot is a frequent guest.
