Since its founding in 1991, the MGA Foundation has impacted thousands of young people through Caddie Academies, GOLFWORKS, The First Tee of Metropolitan New York and Junior Competitions. Educational programs for clubs and a library and archives center at Golf Central help fulfill our mission to help preserve the game's past and protect its future.
For more than 30 years, the MGA and MetLife have partnered to provide the highest level of golf services the Metropolitan Area demands. MetLife’s support of the MGA Foundation is a testament to the company’s longstanding mission of giving back, and allows the MGA Foundation to continue instilling the values and traditions of golf in the next generation of golfers.
Headquartered in New York, NY, MetLife and its affiliates offer a full range of insurance and other financial products and services. In addition to life, non-medical health and property and casualty insurance, MetLife is a leader in savings and retirement products and services for individuals, small businesses and large institutions. MetLife is the largest life insurer in terms of life insurance "in-force" in North America, and offers financial products and services to over 90 of the top 100 FORTUNE 500® companies.
What We Do
Providing first class competitive experiences to young players has been a part of MGA tradition since 1912.
As a sport, golf teaches young people about honor, tradition and an appreciation for the environment.
Throughout the Metropolitan Area, hundreds of young men and women are experiencing golf first hand by becoming a caddie.
The First Tee of Metropolitan New York is part of a national junior golf initiative and was created in 2001 as a joint venture between the MGA Foundation and Metropolitan Section of the PGA.
