Foundation Programs

Since 1991, MGA Foundation programs have impacted thousands of young adults. MGAF offerings provide life-changing opporunities through the game of golf, and go beyond just on-course events and education.

Through a variety of programs, the MGA Foundation reaches hundreds of juniors each golf season. For those looking for an introduction to the game through Youth Clinics, to juniors ready to compete in championships, to high school and college students looking for meaningful employment, the MGAF is proud to facilitate these initatives for all ages.

The MGAF's signature program provides meaningful summer employment for interns at MGA member clubs.

Junior Competitions

For competitive players in the Met Area, the MGA's Junior Competitions provide playing opportunities to test their skills, make new friends and enjoy the experience of first-class competitions.

Youth Clinics

Each summer, a series of Youth Clinics provides an introduction to the basic fundamentals of golf and the life lessons that the game provides.

Youth on Course

The MGAF partners with the national Youth on Course program to provide affordable access to rounds of golf for juniors at participating Met Area courses.

The First Tee

The First Tee of Metropolitan New York is part of a national junior golf initiative and was created in 2001 as a joint venture between the MGA Foundation and Metropolitan Section of the PGA.
