20 Players Qualify for Met Open at Nissequogue

ST. JAMES, N.Y. (July 29, 2014) – Nissequogue Golf Club in St. James, N.Y., played host to 135 players vying for the 13 (plus ties) qualifying spots for the 99th Met Open Championship at Trump National - Bedminster. Patrick McCarthy of Garden City Golf Club earned medalist honors and ran away with the first qualifying spot, shooting an impressive 5-under 67, despite the physically demanding terrain during a hot afternoon.

Ten Qualify at Met Open Qualifier at Laurel Links

LAUREL, N.Y. (July 29, 2014) - A field of 99 players competed for nine qualifying positions (plus ties) at today’s Sectional Qualifying Round for the 99th Met Open Championship at Laurel Links Country Club in Laurel, N.Y. MGA Williamson Cup Team looking for third win in four years

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 29, 2014) - The 2014 Williamson Cup teams have been decided and the MGA team is once again stacked with talent.  For two straight years in 2011 and 2012 the MGA teams claimed victory and after last year’s runner-up finish, they hope to return back to the winner’s circle at Laval sur le Lac Club in beautiful Quebec, Canada.

Hollow Brooks Hosts Met Open Qualifier

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. (July 29, 2014) – A field of 78 golfers played at Hollow Brook Golf Club today at the Sectional Qualifying Round for the 99th Met Open Championship, with hopes of being one of the 8 golfers (plus ties) to qualify. The field was playing for a chance to compete in the championship at Trump National - Bedminster on August 19-21.

U.S. Women's Amateur Comes to Nassau

UPDATED: 3:55 p.m., August 6 - In a match that needed the last hole to be decided, Taylor Totland of Tinton Falls, N.J. came up just short in her first round match at the U.S. Women's Amateur. Totland lost 1 down to Kristen Gillman of Austin, Texas. The match was all square through 16 holes and then Gillman birdied the 17th, and both players parred the 18th.
