Journal News Golf Show Prepares Golfers for Upcoming Season

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 4, 2013) - As spring and the start of the golf season are almost upon us, the 9th Annual Journal News Golf Show provides a weekend full of exhibits and events to prepare golfers in the area to get back out on the course. This Saturday and Sunday, March 9th and 10th, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, N.Y.,  more than 75 exhibitors representing golf retailers, manufacturers, travel, instruction, and more will be on hand to showcase products and services for golfers of all levels and abilities

The MGA will be presenting the 2013 “Let’s Talk Golf" Stage in which PGA professionals and other golf industry experts will speak on different topics including The Rules of Golf, competitive golf, the college recruiting process, and tips on improving your game. The MGA will also have an exhibit showcasing MGA member services, publications, events, and more.

The “Let’s Talk Golf" Stage will feature the following speakers and topics:

                 Brian Mahoney: Director of Rules and Competitions, MGA
                 Topic: The Rules of Golf

                 Tom Sutter: PGA Professional, Dunwoodie Golf Course and 2004 MET PGA Teacher of the Year
                 Topic: Learn to Compete

                 Brian Crowell, Head PGA Professional at Glen Arbor Golf Club
                 Topic: Slice Free Golf

                 Tom Avezzano: PGA Professional, Sprain Lake and Maple Moor Golf Courses
                 Topic: Scoring Better Through Course Management

                 Jason Gobleck: PGA Professional, Westchester Hills Golf Club
                 Topic: Proper Grip, Stance and Alignment

                 Frank Darby: Head Coach of the St. John’s University men’s golf team
                 Topic: The college recruiting process, developing Junior golfers, and Q & A

-A Women's Golf Area presented by the Executive Women's Golf Association that will focus on female golf instruction.

The Journal News Golf Show will take place at the Westchester County Center (directions) in White Plains on March 9th and 10th from 10am-5pm.
