MGA Hosts Handicap & Rules Seminar at Cherry Valley

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 26, 2012) - The Metropolitan Golf Association held their first Handicap & Rules Seminar of the 2012 season on Saturday, March 24 at Cherry Valley Country Club in Garden City, N.Y.

Kevin Kline, MGA's director of Handicapping and Course Rating, presented new initiatives to the MGA handicapping system and John DeTemple Jr., manager of GHIN Technical Support, updated attendees on new user-friendly GHIN software now available to their clubs.

Ken Warnock, vice chairman of the MGA Rules Committee, discussed new rules changes for the 2012 season and answered all questions regarding to Rules of Golf.  

"We look forward to these annual seminars," said Gene Bernstein, president of the MGA. "It's a great opportunity to meet people who we correspond with throughout the year."

The MGA's next Handicap & Rules Seminar will take place on Saturday, April 14 at the Apawamis Club in Rye, N.Y.
