Shawn Adamczyk: An assistant pro at the Kahkwa Club in Erie, Pa., co-medalist at the local qualifier in Grove City, Pa., near Pittsburgh.

Colin Amaral: Played in the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach; is an assistant at nearby Metropolis Country Club and is a regular competitor in the PGA Stroke Play Championship.

Christopher Baloga (a): The men’s head golf coach at Loyola University Maryland and is a two time (2011 & 2010) Maryland State Golf Association Player of the Year. Qualified locally at Whitford CC in Pa.

Brian Bartow: Assistant pro at the Apawamis Club; won 2006 NY MGA Junior Qualifier by five strokes with an 8-under 63, the lowest score in MGA junior play history and a Rye GC course record in 2006

Yohann Benson: Qualified for the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, he is a member of the PGA Tour Canada.  

Greg Bisconti: Saint Andrew’s assistant pro had top-10 finishes at the 2012 Westchester Open and 2012 Metropolitan Professional Championship, also was the low club Professional at the 2009 PGA Championship.

Louis Bodine (a): Just completed freshman year at Rutgers University. Had to hope he would not be in a playoff at Morris County’s LQR as he had to leave right after his round in order to take two final exams.

Jonathan Brisbane: Vermont native who played the mini-tour circuit for several years, he now focuses on teaching and has taken an active working interest in the environmental aspects of grounds keeping.

Max Buckley (a): Recent graduate from SMU and integral member of the winning 2013 MGA Carey Cup Team. Also played a key role in aiding the New York team to victory at the 2012 USGA Men’s State Team Championship.

Zack Byrd: Finished as a first alternate at the 2011 Sectional at Canoe Brook and advanced to the U.S. Open at Congressional. He was a teammate of Dustin Johnson at Coastal Carolina University.

Mike Caporale: Professional from North Hills Country Club on Long Island, turned to golf after failing to make the pro ranks in professional hockey.

Anthony Casalino: The assistant pro at Willow Ridge Country Club in Harrison, N.Y., was a competitor on the Golf Channel’s Big Break.

Cameron Chottiner (a): The fifteen-year-old advanced through a six-man playoff at the Country Club of Fairfield local qualifier to advance to the sectional.

Brian Churchill-Smith (a): Native Canadian who plays golf for Eastern Michigan State University and won the 2012 Toronto Star Amateur.

Stephen Clark: Originally from Scotland, he is now an assistant pro at Westchester Country club and participates in Met PGA competitions.

Dylan Crowley (a): One of three St. John’s University golfers to play in the sectional. Played in sectional qualifying in 2012; elped lead the St. John’s team to a second place finish at the 2013 Big East Championship.

Jeffrey Dantas: Owns two indoor teaching facilities in Massachusetts where he focuses on golf instruction and lessons.

Joseph Depanfilis: Originally from Westport, Conn., but now lives in Naples, Fl. Turned professional in 2009 and plays in mini-tour events.

Paul Dickinson: Former member of the Web.com Tour in 2003, now teaches at Montauk Downs in Montauk, N.Y.

Matt Dobyns: Set a record for largest margin of victory when he won the 2012 PGA Professional National Championship by eight strokes at Bayonet Black Horse.

Krister Eriksson: Florida resident who plays on the GOLFslinger.com Tour and has played in qualifying stages for the European Tour. Originally from Sweden.

Brad Faxon: Won the 1993 Australian Open. A veteran Tour player, he has eight PGA Tour wins, including the 2005 Buick Championship, played on two Walker Cup Teams, including the winning team in 1983.

Jesse Fitzgerald: Now an assistant at Garden City Golf Club; was teammates with Andrew Svoboda (PGA Tour) and Joe Saladino (Two-time MGA Player of the Year) on the St. John’s golf team.

Victor Fox (a): Two-time qualifier for the U.S. Junior Amateur; about to graduate from Bethlehem High School in Bethlehem, Pa,; headed to the University of Maryland in the fall.

Andrew Gai: 2010 NYS Junior PGA Champion, he holds the course record (59) at Longshore Golf Club in Westport, Conn.

John Gilmartin (a): An amateur from Massachusetts and owner of a hockey rink and league; is a two-time winner of the Massachusetts Golf Associations’ prestigious Ouimet Memorial Tournament.

Gavin Hall (a): Member of the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team in 2012 (with fellow competitor Jim Liu) and is a three-time NYS Junior-Amateur champion. He’s be playing for the Texas Longhorns in the fall (transfer from UCLA).

Evan Harmeling: Graduated from Princeton in 2012 where he was the captain of the golf team and a two-time Second Team All-Ivy League player; has played in two U.S. Amateurs.

Ty Harris: Won the 2002 Florida State Amateur Championship and now plays on the PGA Tour Canada.

Jim Herman: Finished in the 25th spot on the 2012 Web.com Tour Money list, earning him his 2013 PGA Tour Card. Qualified for last year’s U.S. Open at Canoe Brook.

Sebastian Hutman: Began playing golf in 9th grade; attended the golf management program at Campbell University in NC and is currently participating in a six-month internship at Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton, N.Y.

Willis Huynh (a): The 16-year-old 2012 MGA Boys champion plays on the varsity golf team at Syosset High School on long Island.

Sam Kang: Winner of the 2011 NJPGA Professional Championship and has consecutively been named the NJPGA Assistant Player of the Year for the last three years.

Sunny Kim: Won the 2004 MGA/MetLife Boys Championship, advanced to the final stage of last year’s Q-School and is currently ranked 5th on the GOLFSlinger Tour Money List.

Eddie Kirby: 2012 New England PGA champion, tied for medalist honors at local qualifying at Rhode Island Country Club with a 3-under-par 68.

Peter Kozubal (a): New Jersey resident who played in the 2009 U.S. Mid-Amateur at the Kiawah Island Golf Club. Works full-time in accounting.

Brant Kummerfeld: Grew up in Wyoming where he was the medalist at a local qualifying round with a score of 4-under 68 at Wyoming’s Riverton Country Club.

Rob Labritz: Won the 2012 Met PGA Championship and the 2012 POLO Golf Met PGA Head Professional Championship.  He was the only club professional to make the cut at the 2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.

Michael Labrutto:  Set a new competitive course record with a 6-under 64 during local qualifying at Haworth CC in New Jersey. Wasn’t going to even register for U.S. Open qualifying this year until his 11-year-old son convinced him to do so.

Yanik Laforest: The native Canadian still resides there and is a member of the PGA Canadian Tour.

Mark Ledom: Mississippi State grad, now an assistant pro at Sunningdale shot a 2-under 69 at Willow Ridge during local qualifying.

Bobby Leopold (a): Advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2011 U.S. Amateur and works full time in the insurance business.

Kenneth Lewis: Former teammates with Brandt Snedeker at Vanderbilt. As a junior golfer, he was teammates with Hunter Mahan on the 1999 World Junior Team Championship in Japan.

Luke List: Currently ranks 3rd in driving distance on the PGA Tour, earned 2013 PGA Tour Card by finishing 4th on the Web.com Tour money list. His best PGA Tour finish was T16th at the Wells Fargo Championship.

Jim Liu (a) : He won the 2010 U.S. Junior Amateur at age 14, breaking Tiger Woods’ record for youngest U.S. Junior Champion; finished runner-up at the U.S. Junior last year.

Matt Lowe (a): Second consecutive year of qualifying for the Sectional; 2010 MGA/ MetLife Boys champion. In 2009, at age 13, was the youngest player to play in local qualifying.

Brian Mackey: An assistant at White Beeches Country Club, the Dominican College graduate is now also an assistant coach to the Dominican golf team.

Brandon Matthews (a): Just completed freshman year at Temple University where he was named Atlantic 10 Rookie Performer of the Year and finished second overall at the Atlantic 10 golf championships.

David McKenzie: Originally from Australia but now lives in Canada; won the 2013 Turner Plumbing Victorian PGA Championship, a PGA Tour of Australasia event.

Mike Miller (a): Two-time MGA Player of the Year, was a key member of the 2013 MGA Carey Cup Team. Had a strong international finish at the Portuguese Amateur this spring (T3); recently won a new car with a hole-in-one during a pro-am event at Knollwood Country Club.

Nick Pandelena (a): Will be a sophomore at Boston College this fall; was also a talented varsity hockey player in high school.

Paul Park: Former Indiana Hoosier golfer will make his fourth appearance at U.S. open Sectional Qualifying this year.

Bret Parker: From Huntington Beach, Ca., qualified into the field as an alternate from his local qualifier in California.

Andrew Parr: Born and raised in Ontario, Canada; plays in events on the European Tour and South African Tour, with his best finish being T6 at the 2012 Sicilian Open.

Jeremy Quinn (a): Just graduated from St. John’s University where he majored in business and played all four years on the golf team. The New Jersey native also DJs when not on the golf course.

Justin Regier: Son of Buffalo Sabres general manager Darcy Regier, currently plays on the NGA Pro Golf Tour.

Peter Richards (a): Sophomore at Staples High School in Westport, Conn., where he is a key member of the golf team.

Alexandre Rocha: Professional from Sao Paulo, Brazil, qualified for the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional at the Canoe Brook sectional site.

Domenick Roman: Advanced through a five-man playoff for the final two qualifying spots at the Haworth CC local qualifying round.

David Schultz: Placed 5th in the 2012 Canadian Senior Amateur; played in a U.S. Open sectional last year in Memphis.

David Schuster: Three-time All-Bergen County golfer. Has lived in Asia and South America for the past eight years, playing in mini tours on both continents.

Paul Selvaggio: Tied for fourth place in the 2012 Westchester Golf Association open at his home course of Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, N.Y.

Chris Shelton:  Originally from the Hudson Valley, N.Y., area, taught himself how to play golf in 2008. Played in the 2011 U.S. Mid-Amateur and recently turned professional in Feb. 2013.

Paul Simson (a): Originally from Chatham, N.J., captured his second U.S. Senior Amateur title in 2012 at Mountain Ridge. He has played in 55 national championships, winning two – the Senior Amateur in 2012 and 2010.

Geoffrey Sisk:  Was a member of the Web.com Tour in 2011 where he was the leader in driving accuracy percentage.

Len Siter: Director of Instruction at Golfer’s Edge Performance Center and Head Professional at Mountain Ridge Country Club; is also a past winner of the NJ PGA Teacher of the Year award.

Jesse Smith:  Resides in Florida for the winter where he plays the mini tour circuit and recently shot a career-low 11-under-59 at a Fore the Players Tour event at Dubsdread Golf Course in Orlando.

Matthew Smith: Advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2011 U.S. Mid-Amateur and was the medalist at the local qualifying round in Midland, Texas.

Eric Steger: 2011 graduate of Ball State where he was a four-year letter winner for the men’s golf team; won his first pro even on the West Florida Golf Tour in 2012.

Hunter Stone: Former standout at Rollins College, qualified locally at Crumpin-Fox Club in Mass.

Grant Sturgeon: A new assistant at Winged Foot Golf Club, played in the 2009 PGA Championship; won the 2000 Aztec Invitational when he was an amateur.

Mark Sumemrville: Assistant at the Philadelphia Club, not far from Merion. In 2012 was recognized by U.S. Kids Golf as Top 50 Instructor Honorable Mention.

Ethan Wall (a): Helped lead the Christian Brothers Academy varsity golf team to their second state championship in three years this May. He is headed to Lehigh University in the fall.

Kevin Warrick: Achieved low amateur honors at the 2002 U.S. open at the infamous Bethpage Black course.

Mike Welch: Winner of the 2012 Massachusetts Open, he qualified for the 2009 U.S. Open and was five strokes away from advancing through Sectional Qualifying last year at Canoe Brook

Brian Williams (a): Posted a score of 1-under 69 to advance through local qualifying at the Country club of Fairfield in Connecticut.

Pat Wilson (a): Recent St. John’s grad (along with Jeremy Quinn); played in sectionals last year at Canoe Brook; was the first round leader at the 2012 Met Open at Plainfield and was co-medalist at the Morris County local qualifier.

Mark Yannotta: Co-medalist at Morris County’s local qualifier and the only professional to qualify at that site; was included on the list of “Best Teachers in Your State” by Golf Digest in 2008.
